Ashley Knight
Founder & Executive Director, The Pasadena Project

Ashley Knight is the founder of The Pasadena Project, a grassroots nonprofit born from a simple but powerful idea: that real community starts with connection. A longtime Pasadena resident with a passion for revitalizing neighborhood spirit, Ashley launched this initiative to bring people together through inclusive public events, creative collaboration, and good old-fashioned fun.
With a background in both finance and the arts, Ashley blends strategy with imagination, determined to help the next generation reimagine what local leadership looks like. Frustrated by outdated systems and hidden politics that often hold communities back, she created The Pasadena Project to be different—transparent, energizing, and led by people who genuinely care.
When she’s not planning events or mobilizing volunteers, you’ll find her exploring local small businesses, walking her dogs along the bay, or dreaming up the next big idea to make Pasadena feel more like home.
